1. Introduction of Corporate Cyberbanking
Q1.1 What is Corporate Cyberbanking?
Corporate Cyberbanking is an innovative and integrated banking service
for corporate users to manage their account activities through the
use of Internet.
With Corporate Cyberbanking, you can now manage your corporate finances
such as account enquiry and funds transfer at anytime, anywhere
and anyhow.
Q1.2 How do I manage the service?
The operations for various electronic channels are very easy and
simple. Upon account opening, two types of Personal Identification
Number (PIN) will be provided to you, they are the Administrator
PINs and Signer PINs. The Administrator PINs are for the management
of user profile and user access profile. The Signer PINs are for
your authorised signer to approve banking transactions.
To further protect your account information, you are required to
change the PIN on your first login. On the other hand, you are also
advised to change the PINs from time to time for your protection.
Q1.3 How can I apply for Corporate Cyberbanking?
You can enjoy the service by opening an Corporate Cyberbanking Account
at any one of our BEA branches.
Q1.4 What is the service charge of Corporate Cyberbanking?
Other than transaction fee and additional services*, Corporate Cyberbanking
is free of charge. Moreover, charges for subscribing additional
services will be waived until 31 December 2006. Annual fee will
be applied from 1 January 2007.

Q4.1 How can I get connected to Corporate Cyberbanking?
You can directly go to the website of Corporate Cyberbanking at

or through a direct link located the website of our Bank at http://www.hkbea.com
and then enter your account number and PIN.
If you havesubscribed Phone Banking while opening your Corporate
Cyberbanking account, you can simply dial 2211 1838 with a touch-tone
phone to login.

Q5.1.1 What information can I get from the [Account Enquiry]
function?

There are six sub-functions in the [Account Enquiry] function.
They are as follows:
1. [Balance] : enquire balance of individual account.
2. [Summary] : enquire all account balances of individual company.
3. [History] : enquire transactions conducted on the enquiry
day.
4. [Today Activity] : enquire transactions conducted on the
enquiry day.
5. [Bills Position] : check the current bills position and record.
6. [Credit Limit] : enquire the availability of credit limit.

Funds Transfer
Q5.2.1 What services are available in [Funds
Transfer]?
[Funds Transfer] function can be transferred funds to Local and
BEA (China) Account. You can transfer funds from your accounts
to your own local accounts or other BEA accounts and also to pre-designated
3rd party accounts with prior registration with opening branches.
Also, you can make funds transfer to pre-designated and non-designated
BEA (China) Accounts.
Q5.2.2 How can I transfer fund from my account?
After selecting [Funds Transfer] on the Sub-Menu, you can input
the transaction details to make a fund transfer. Then you can click
the [Proceed] button to continue the transaction or click the [Clear]
button to reset the input. In the following screen, you may verify
and confirm the transaction details (and the exchange rates, if
applicable) by clicking the [Confirm] button or withdraw the transaction
by clicking the [Cancel] button.
Q5.2.3 How do I know whether my funds transfer
has successfully been completed?
If the transaction is accepted, a message of "Transaction Completed"
and a transaction reference number will be displayed on the screen.
If the transaction is rejected, a reject message will be displayed
on the screen. You can also click the [Print] button to print the
transaction records.
Q5.2.4 What are the limitation of Funds Transfer to BEA (China)
Account?
As the Funds Transfer to BEA (China) Account transaction is confined
to Hong Kong Dollar and US Dollar only, therefore the receiving
BEA (China) Account must be a HKD or USD account. Also, the service
hours is Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm and must be on both Hong Kong
and China working days.
Q5.2.5 What is the service charge of Funds Transfer to BEA (China)
Account?
The service charge for this service is HKD150.
Bill Payment
Q5.3.1 What are the services available in [Bill Payment]?
You can make payment to over 100 merchants through Bill Payment.
Q5.3.2 What type of daily withdrawal limits will be calculated
when make payment through bill payment function?
Each time when the payment is finished, we will calculate the type
of daily withdrawal limits named "To pre-designated 3rd party
account (BEA and other banks)".
Time Deposit
Q5.4.1 What are the services available in [Time Deposit]?
You can enquire your deposits, place and uplift a deposit, and give
deposit renewal instructions in the [Time Deposit] function.
Q5.4.2 What information can I get from the [Deposit Enquiry]
sub-function?
By selecting [Deposit Summary], you are able to view deposit records
of all time deposit accounts. You can also select any one of your
time deposit accounts to view its deposit records.
For details of each deposit, you can just click the [deposit number]
and the following information will be shown to you:
-Time Deposit account number
-Deposit number
-Deposit term
-Deposit type
- Principal
-Effective/Due date
-Auto-renewal instruction (if existed)
-Others (e.g. amount payable at maturity, regular interest, etc.)
Q5.4.3 What should I do if I want to give a deposit placement,
uplift or renewal instruction to your Bank?
After clicking the corresponding button of the sub-function, you
can input the transaction details. Then you can click the [Proceed]
button to continue or click the [Clear] button to reset the screen.
In the next screen, you may verify and confirm the transaction details
(and the interest/exchange rates, if applicable) by clicking the
[Confirm] button or withdraw the transaction by clicking the [Cancel]
button.
Q5.4.4 What deposit types can I operate in the [Time Deposit] function?
-HKD Time Deposit with Bank of East Asia (BEAH)
-FCY Time Deposit with Bank of East Asia (BEAF)
Q5.4.5 How do I know whether my deposit placement, uplift
or renewal instruction has successfully been completed?
Once the transaction is accepted, a message of "Transaction
Completed" and a transaction reference number will be displayed
for your reference. If the transaction is rejected, a reject message
will also be displayed. You can also click the [Print] button to
print the transaction records.
Q5.4.6 What kinds of instructions can I place in the [Deposit
Renewal] sub-function?
There are three types of instructions in the [Deposit Renewal] sub?function:
- Deposit Renewal Instruction (Multiple Times)
- Deposit Renewal Instruction (One Time Only)
- Cancellation of Deposit Renewal Instruction
In addition, when you place "Deposit Renewal Instruction (Multiple
Times)", you can choose either "Renew Principal plus Interest"
or "Renew Principal and Pay Interest" and the interest
will be paid to an interest disposal account.
Remittance
Q5.5.1 What are the services available in [Remittance]?
They are Telegraphic Transfer, CHATS (HKD & USD), and Electronic
Clearing.
Trade Services
Q5.6.1 What are the services available in [Trade Services]?
You can submit L/C application and L/C amendment through this function.
MPF
Q5.7.1 What can I do in the [MPF] function?
You can submit the remittance statement for Mandatory Provident
Fund (MPF) contribution of your company and check the contribution
history.
Payroll & Autopay
Q5.8.1 What services are available at [Payroll & Autopay]?
There are Payroll, Autopay and Collection:
Payroll - Arrange salary payment to your employees, and the funds
can be transferred to any bank account in Hong Kong.
Autopay - Funds transfer to more than one account of BEA and/or
the any other bank in Hong Kong within one single transaction.
Collection - Collecting funds from accounts that have authorised
direct debit payment to your company.

Q6.1 How do I login to the Corporate Cyberbanking website
safely?
You can safely login to Corporate Cyberbanking by entering the homepage
of The Bank of East Asia, Limited "www.hkbea.com" or the
homepage of Corporate Cyberbanking "www.hkbea-cyberbanking.com/corporate"
into your browser, or bookmark these authentic websites for future
use. The Bank of East Asia will never ask you for your PIN by
email or phone. In addition, do not click on any URLs or hyperlinks
embedded in email to access our Bank's website, or to login to Corporate
Cyberbanking.
Q6.2 Is Corporate Cyberbanking secure?
Corporate Cyberbanking offers 5 types of security measures to safeguard
your financial information:
1. Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Digital Certificate
You can login to Corporate Cyberbanking by using your Corporate
Cyberbanking account number and PIN or even a designated digital
certificate issued by Hongkong Post or Digi-Sign Certification Services
Limited.
2. Last Login Time
You can view your last login time after successful login to Corporate
Cyberbanking.
3. Automatic Exit
To protect against unauthorised access, the connection to Corporate
Cyberbanking will be automatically terminated after the service
has been idled for 10 minutes.
4. Change PIN on a Regular Basis
Corporate Cyberbanking will ask users to change their Login PINs
on a regular basis for every 30 days. The used passwords are only
valid if used alternately. This will not apply to the Corporate
Cyberbanking accounts using digital certificate.
5. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 128-bit Encryption
"SSL" is an international and well-proven standard employed
to ensure secure transaction of information. All information transmitted
between your computer and the Bank through the Internet is encrypted.
Q6.3 Do you provide any security tips for using Corporate
Cyberbanking?
PIN Management
- Do not disclose your PIN to anyone including any joint account
holder(s). In addition, do not send your PIN via email and never
use the same PIN to access other services.
- Contact us immediately of any actual or suspected unauthorised
use of your PIN and confirm notification to us in writing.
- Do not, under any circumstances, disclose your PIN to anyone who
claims to represent the Bank or who claims to be the Bank's employee
or other authorised person or the Police. It is not necessary for
anyone to know your PIN. The Bank will never ask you for your PIN
by email.
- Disable options on your browser to avoid storing or retaining
your PIN on your personal computer.
- Change your PIN immediately when using Corporate Cyberbanking
for the first time and destroy any documents containing PIN information.
- Be sure not to use your identity card number, telephone number,
date of birth, driver¡¦s license number or any popular
number sequences (such as 987654 or 123456) for your PIN. Avoid
using the same digit more than twice (such as 111111 or 222222).
- Do not write down your PIN - memorise it.
- Be alert to your surroundings before conducting any banking transactions.
Make sure no one sees your PIN and cover the keypad when you enter
your PIN on any device, such as a personal computer or other self-service
terminal such as a kiosk.
- For security reasons, change your PIN regularly.
- Change your PIN immediately if there is any suspicion of being
deceived by fake websites or email. For example, you fail to login
to a service website after inputting your correct PIN, with or without
any alert messages.
To request for new PINs, you could download the form CCB008,
fill in the required information and return it to your account opening
branch for further processing.
Personal Computer and email Protection
- Take precautions against hackers and viruses when sending and
receiving emails, opening any email attachments, visiting and disclosing
personal / financial information to unknown websites, and downloading
files or programmes from websites.
- Increase your protection with proper firewalls and anti-virus
software and update them with security patches or newer versions
on a regular basis to strengthen the security of your personal computer.
- Upgrade browsers and application software to support 128-bit SSL
encryption or a higher encryption standard.
- Remove file and printer sharing options on your personal computer,
especially when you have Internet access via cable modem, broadband
connection, wireless connection or other similar set-up.
- Do not use software or programme(s) from untrustworthy sources.
- Do not click URLs or hyperlinks embedded in any email to access
our Bank¡¦s website.
- Limit the number of people who can use your personal computer
and set your own password for your personal computer if it has this
facility.
- Disable your browser¡¦s ¡§AutoComplete¡¨
function. On some browsers, this function remembers the data you
input previously. Refer to your browser¡¦s ¡§Help¡¨
function if necessary.
Accessing Corporate Cyberbanking
- Keep your Corporate Cyberbanking Account Number confidential at
all times and do not send account information via email.
- Make sure that all other browsers are closed before logging into
Corporate Cyberbanking.
- Input Corporate Cyberbanking or the Bank¡¦s website
address into the address bar of a web browser directly.
- Only access Corporate Cyberbanking through www.hkbea.com or www.hkbea-cyberbanking.com/corporate.
- Every time you login to Corporate Cyberbanking, please verify
your last login date and time on the first page.
- Do not click a hyperlink in an email, search engine or any untrusted
source to login to Corporate Cyberbanking.
- Always logout and then clear the browser cache after each banking
session.
- Do not leave your personal computer unattended while using Corporate
Cyberbanking.
- Do not use public computers to access Corporate Cyberbanking.
- Check your bank balance and transaction history regularly. Notify
the Bank immediately if you discover any errors or unauthorised
transactions.
- Regularly review and follow security tips issued by the Bank.
- Contact the Bank for confirmation immediately whenever a website
claiming to originate from the Bank looks suspicious to you.
Use of Digital Certificate
- Keep your Digital Certificate private key and password confidential
at all times. Do not disclose the password to any person including
any joint account holder(s). In addition, do not send your password
via email and never use the same password to access other services.
- Call the Bank immediately of any actual or suspected, unauthorised
use of your Digital Certificate and confirm notification to the
Bank in writing.
- Do not, under any circumstances, disclose your Digital Certificate
password to anyone who claims to represent the Bank or claims to
be the Bank's employee or other authorised person or the Police.
It is not necessary for anyone to know your password. The Bank will
never ask for your password by email.
- Disable options on browsers to avoid storing or retaining your
Digital Certificate password on your personal computer.
- Be sure not to use your identity card number, telephone number,
date of birth, driver¡¦s license number or any popular
number sequence (such as 987654 or 123456) in your Digital Certificate
password, and avoid using repetitive digit (such as 111111 or 222222).
- Set a password to protect your Digital Certificate immediately
after your have received your Digital Certificate.
- Do not write down your Digital Certificate password - memorise
it.
- Be alert to your surroundings before conducting any banking transaction
and make sure that no one sees your Digital Certificate password
and cover the keypad when you enter your password on any device,
such as a personal computer or a self-service terminal such as a
kiosk.
- For security reasons, change your Digital Certificate password
regularly.
- Notify the Bank of any change to the information provided to a
Certificate Authority (¡§CA¡¨) as soon as such
change occurs. The Bank shall not in any event be held liable for
any loss or damage resulting from or in connection to your failure
to do so.
- Do not use your Digital Certificate after it has been cancelled
or revoked, or has otherwise become invalid.
- Please store the digital certificate in a floppy disk or smart
card, and place it in the computer's disk drive or card reader only
when necessary. In addition, please keep the floppy disk or smart
card in a safe and secure environment when not using.
Other Notes
- Check your bank statement(s) regularly and notify the Bank immediately
if you find any suspicious or unusual transactions.
- Keep your Digital Certificate, bank statements, cheque books and
other important documents in a safe place. If you want to discard
any documents that contain your personal information, destroy them
first.
- Under no circumstances shall the Bank, by way of email, ask for
your personal information, such as your password, identity card
number, date of birth, credit card number, credit card expiry date,
etc. In addition, we will not ask you to enter the Bank¡¦s
website by clicking hyperlinks attached to any email.
- Check the website¡¦s privacy policy statement and
statement on security safeguards before providing personal data
to the website.
Q6.4 Do I need to clear browser memory cache?
To safeguard your account information, you are advised to close
all your browsers instantly after logging out of Corporate Cyberbanking
to clear the browser memory cache.
Q6.5 What system settings do the security features of Corporate
Cyberbanking require?
Our system will check whether your browser is a proper version,
and whether "Java" and "JavaScript", "SSL"
and "cookie" are enabled.
Q6.6 How can I upgrade the version of my browser?
You can upgrade your browser version by going to the Microsoft's
download site.
Q6.7 What should I do if I want to enable the SSL feature?
Enable SSL Version 2.0 and 3.0
In Internet Explorer 5.0* :

3. Select [Advanced] Tab
4. Choose [Security] and enable SSL Version 2.0 and 3.0

Q6.8 Why are previous entries displayed as a dropdown list
when I enter data in some fields such as account number, PIN, transaction
amount, etc.?
Some latest versions of browsers have a special feature, such as
"AutoComplete" in Internet Explorer 5.0, that it can save
previous entries you have made for web addresses, forms, passwords,
etc. Therefore, when you type similar information in one of these
fields, a dropdown list with possible matches will automatically
available for selection.
To protect yourself and prevent from unauthorised use of your account,
you are recommended to disable this kind of feature in your browser.
You may also lock your computers and laptops by using power-on passwords,
etc to prevent from unauthorised access.

7. Digital Certificate
Q7.1 What is the benefit of using digital certificate?
It can allow customers to use the digital signature in the means
of electronic certificate to approve the transaction via the Internet
for a stronger security.
Q7.2 Who can approve the transaction by using the digital
certificate?
System Administrator is required to assign user(s) with digital
certificate as the signer in order to approve transaction with digital
certificate.
Q7.3 Where can I apply for the digital certificate?
In cooperation with Hongkong Post & Digi-Sign Certificate Services
Limited, Corporate Cyberbanking accept Hongkong Post's Bank-Cert
(BEA) & Digi-Sign's ID-Cert. For the application of ID-Cert, you can refer the Digi-Sign's
website - http://www.dg-sign.com

Q7.4 If I have already possessed a digital certificate from
other Certificate Authority (CA), can I use it to perform Corporate
Cyberbanking transactions?
Corporate Cyberbanking only accepts Hongkong Post's Bank-Certs
that issued by BEA. Moreover, the organisational ID-Cert issued
by Digi-Sign.
Q7.5 If I lost my digital certificate or the pin of digital
certificate, do I need to inform Bank of East Asia?
For easier management and renew the information saved in Bank of
East Asia, other than notify the according Certificate Authority,
you should also notify Bank of East Asia immediately if you found
the mentioned circumstances.

8. One-time Password
Q8.1 What is one-time password?
A one-time password is an SMS-based password generated by our bank and sent to your registered mobile phone number as an additional form of identity authentication. A one-time password enables you to perform designated transactions through Corporate Cyberbanking. Each one-time password is used only once for a designated transaction and expires within three minutes.
Q8.2 If I am using digital certificate to access Corporate Cyberbanking, do I still need to use one-time password?
No, digital certificate already provided you with a two-factor authentication security, therefore, one-time password is not needed when you perform transactions on Corporate Cyberbanking.
Q8.3 When do I need to use a one-time password on Corporate Cyberbanking?
If you have not apply to use digital certificate in your Corporate
Cyberbanking account, then one-time password will be required when
you sign the following transactions:

Q8.4 How can I register to use one-time password?
To register to use one-time password, please ask your system administrator
to provide your mobile phone number and other related information
in "User Maintenance". Next time you login, a confirmation
screen will be prompted and information entered by your system administrator
will be shown. Please verify those information are correct, then
enter your signer PIN to confirm those information to complete the
registration process.

Q8.5 What information is required to be entered by system administrator, in order to use one-time password?
Your Corporate Cyberbanking system administrator has to provide
the following information for a signer, in order for the signer
to use one-time password.

BEA Identity Message
Q8.6 What is BEA Identity Message?
"BEA Identity Message" will appear on SMS being sent
from Corporate Cyberbanking system for you to identity that the
sender of the SMS is our bank.
Q8.7 After registration, how can I receive a one-time password to sign a transaction?
After successful registered to use one-time password, when you
sign a designated type of transaction, you will find a "Request
one-time password" button at the end of the page. Click on
the button, and a one-time password will be sent to your registered
mobile phone. Enter the one-time password along with your signer
PIN to sign the transaction.

Q8.8 After I click the "Request one-time password" button, I have not received the one-time password, but the "Request one-time password" button is disabled. What should I do?
Please make sure your registered mobile phone number is correct. If it is correct, you can click "Cancel", and then select the transaction you want to sign, you will then be able to request one-time password to be sent to your mobile phone again.

9. e-Statement
Q9.1 What is e-Statement service?
e-Statement service provides you with a convenient way to view your
account statements online in PDF format via Corporate Cyberbanking
- Internet.
Q9.2 How much does e-Statement service cost?
e-Statement service is provided free of charge to Corporate Cyberbanking
customers.
Q9.3 Which account types provide e-Statement service?
At present, the following accounts provide e-Statement service
to Corporate Cyberbanking customers. Additional account types will
provide this service to Corporate Cyberbanking customers in the
future.
HKD current account
USD current account
Statement savings account
Q9.4 Who can use e-Statement service?
Only those registered to use e-Statement service by an administrator
can view e-Statements of the related / associated accounts via Corporate
Cyberbanking - Internet. Access rights for each account are pre-determined
according to their Function Access Profile ("FAP") and
Data Access Profile ("DAP").
Note: To view e-Statements of their accessible accounts, users
must have the minimum access right to account enquiry functionality,
including balance, summary, history, and today's activity.
Q9.5 How do I register for e-Statement service?
To register, your administrator simply needs to log into Corporate
Cyberbanking and select "e-Statement Maintenance" from
the main menu. A list will appear of all users eligible for registration
of the e-Statement service. The administrator can then proceed to
select the users for registration and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If two administrators exist, dual approval will be required
for e-Statement service registration.
Q9.6 Will the company still receive physical statements after
registering for e-Statement service?
Yes. Your company will still receive physical statements after
registering for e-Statement service.
Q9.7 How long will past e-Statements be retained?
You can view e-Statements via Corporate Cyberbanking - Internet
for a maximum period of two years beginning from 1st
January, 2005.
Q9.8 Why can't I view an e-Statement?
Firstly, check to see if the administrator has registered you for
e-Statement service. Secondly, you must have installed Acrobat Reader
version 6.0 or above in order to view the e-Statement in PDF format.

Q9.9 How can I identify an authentic e-Statement from BEA?
Every e-Statement in PDF format will be signed by a digital certificate
from BEA to verify the e-Statement's authenticity and integrity.
To validate the digital signature of the Bank, you need to download
BEA's digital certificate to your Acrobat Reader.
The procedure is as follows:
Step 1:
Click on the Signatures tab on the left-hand side of your Acrobat
Reader. The signature details will then be displayed.

Step 2:
Right click "Signature2, Signed by BEA Digital Certificate
for e-Statement" of the signature details. A pop-up menu will
be displayed. Select "Properties" in the menu. A Signature
Properties window will appear.

Step 3:
After verifying that this document is signed by BEA, click "Trust
Identity" under "Additional Information".

Step 4:
A certificate security alert pop-up window will be displayed. Click
"OK" to confirm that you have verified the identity of
the certificate.

Step 5:
Now proceed to import the certificate into your Acrobat Reader by
clicking on the Import button. A few seconds later, an import complete
message will be shown. Click "OK" to complete the download
certificate procedure.

Step 6:
Upon completing Step 5, next time when you open a e-Statement, click
on the Signatures tab on the left-hand side of your Acrobat Reader.
It will show that "Signature is valid" to indicate the e-Statement is signed
by a digital certificate from BEA.
Q9.10 How can I terminate e-Statement service?
An administrator will need to log into Corporate Cyberbanking and
refer to the e-Statement Maintenance section where a list of all
eligible users will be displayed. The administrator can then proceed
to click "Edit" and select the checkbox " Stop e-Statement"
to stop e-Statement service for all users.

Q10.1 What is CyberAlert?
CyberAlert is an online alert service for customers to receive alert
message in form of mobile phone SMS and/or email after a transaction
is executed through Corproate Cyberbanking.

Currently, you can receive CyberAlert of the following Corporate
Cyberbanking transactions:

To register for CyberAlert, system administrator should provide

“User Maintenance” function. These information are also
used in other Corporate Cyberbanking services, such as one-time
password.

- SMS Language
- BEA Identity Message
- E-mail address
In addition, system administrator should follow the steps below
to set-up CyberAlert for each user:
1. Login Corproate Cyberbanking as system administrator. Select
“User Maintenance” from user menu, and click “CyberAlert”
in submenu.
2. Select the user who will receive the CyberAlert, and click “Edit”.
3. Click the “New” button to set-up a new CyberAlert.
4. Enter the details for the new CyberAlert, and click the “Proceed”
button to process the new CyberAlert set-up request.
5. The new CyberAlert set-up is completed and will be effective
in next business day.
Q10.4 When will my newly set-up/modified/deleted CyberAlert
effective?
All alert creation, modification and deletion, including modification
of mobile phone number and e-mail address, will be effective on
next business day.
Q10.5 How can I modify my e-mail address and mobile
phone number of CyberAlert?
System administrator can update your e-mail address and mobile phone
number in “User Maintenance” function.
Q10.6 Is CyberAlert a free service?
CyberAlert service in email is provided free of charge, and during
the promotional period, monthly charges for CyberAlert in SMS will
also be waived.
